Goodbye, NYC!

goodbye, nyc

I’ll miss NYC. Of course, I’ll miss my friends. I’ll miss how it’s impossible to have a boring night out. I’ll miss all the artisan cocktails, the beer and cheese place, and the overwhelming Seamless options. I’ll miss the six grocery stores within walking distance that I can name off the top of my head, my relatively quiet neighborhood, and walking to Central Park, the East River and the MET. I’ll miss the sky scrapers. The feeling of being in a real city. The bridges. I’ll miss the smell of roasting nuts and the sound of puppies in windows. I’ll miss being a quick walk/subway ride/bus ride/cab ride away from everything. I’ll miss seeing the Manhattan skyline across the river and thinking “I live there.”

New York, it was fun, but I’m breaking up with you. I’m going home.

  1. i’m sure NYC will miss you and everyone you’ve met while you’ve been there will remember you for a long time, glad I got to see a little of NYC with you. Good luck on your next journey. … You could check out Madison for jobs? It’s a great place to live.
